Terms and Conditions of Use

1Acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions of Use form a binding agreement between you and JusticeXpress, Inc., a Delaware public benefit corporation, which operates the JusticeXpress Network Website and, through its wholly owned subsidiary JusticeXpress Florida, LLC, the consumer site JusticeXpressFlorida.com. “JusticeXpress,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean those entities. “You” means any visitor, applicant, or listed firm.

They apply to justicexpressnetwork.com, justicexpressflorida.com, any other JusticeXpress state directory, and the application forms, accounts, listings, and resources on those sites. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference. If you use the site on behalf of a firm, you represent that you are authorized to bind that firm.

2What the Network is and is not

The Network is a self-select, browse-all publishing platform. Consumers see every listing that meets our criteria and choose for themselves. We do not screen consumers, take intake, route inquiries, rank firms by any measure of quality, or recommend, endorse, or vouch for any lawyer.

3Who may list

To apply for or maintain a listing you must be a lawyer admitted to practice and in good standing with The Florida Bar, or a law firm whose listed lawyers meet that standard. You must be authorized to offer the services you list, carry any insurance your practice requires, and be at least 18 years old.

You must tell us promptly if your licensure status changes, if you become subject to discipline or suspension, or if any information in your listing stops being accurate. We may decline any application, and we may remove any listing, for any lawful reason.

4Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for everything done under your account. Notify us immediately at support@justicexpressnetwork.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share accounts or transfer one to another firm.

5Your listing content

You keep ownership of everything you submit — your firm name, biography, photograph, logo, service descriptions, and fees. By submitting it, you grant JusticeXpress a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content in the directory and in promotion of the directory, for as long as your listing is active and for a reasonable period afterward in archived or cached form.

You represent that your listing content is truthful, not misleading, and that you have the rights to everything in it, including photographs and logos.

Fees you publish

A fixed fee you publish is your offer to the consumer, not ours. You must honor a published fee for the service as described, or update the listing before accepting the engagement. Scope, exclusions, and what happens if a matter exceeds the stated scope must be defined in your own engagement agreement with the client.

Our editorial role

We may format, excerpt, or reject listing content, and we may edit or remove anything we believe is inaccurate, misleading, non-compliant, or otherwise unsuitable. We are not obligated to review or monitor listings, and our review is never a determination that your listing complies with the rules that govern you.

6Verification and the Verified badge

The Verified badge means one thing: that JusticeXpress has confirmed, from public records of The Florida Bar, that the firm is licensed and in good standing as of the date of the check.

We re-check standing periodically while a listing is active, but public records may lag. We may withdraw the badge, without refund, if a firm’s standing changes or if the firm breaches these terms. Consumers should confirm any lawyer’s current status directly with The Florida Bar.

7Your professional obligations

You alone are responsible for the legal services you provide and for your compliance with the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and the rules of every jurisdiction where you practice. Nothing we publish, review, or approve shifts any of that responsibility to us. In particular, you remain solely responsible for:

• Compliance with the advertising and communication rules, including any required disclosures, disclaimers, and filings for your listing content
• Determining that limited-scope representation is reasonable in the circumstances and obtaining the client’s informed consent, confirmed in writing
• Conflicts checking, client confidentiality, trust accounting, and fee agreements
• Client communications, engagement letters, and scope of work
• Any malpractice or disciplinary exposure arising from your engagements

You will not describe JusticeXpress as your referral source, as vouching for you, or as a participant in any engagement.

8Fees, renewal, and cancellation

A basic listing is free. Verified status is a paid, flat annual subscription. Founding firms receive Verified status and priority placement free for the first year and keep the permanent Founding Verified Member designation.

• Current rates: $240 per year (single county) or $480 per year (statewide)
• Renewal: subscriptions renew annually. We will give you at least 30 days’ advance notice of the renewal date and of any price change, and you may cancel before renewal.
• Payment: processed by PayPal under its own terms. You authorize the charges you approve at checkout, including automatic renewal.
• Refunds: Fees are non-refundable except for the first 30 days, or prorated on removal.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time. Your listing stays live through the paid term unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
• Taxes: you are responsible for any applicable taxes on subscription fees.

Priority placement affects the order in which listings appear in browse results. It is a paid placement, disclosed as such, and it says nothing about a firm’s qualifications.

9Acceptable use

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-copy directory listings or contact information, or use automated tools to access the site except for standard search engine indexing
• Use directory information to send unsolicited marketing to listed firms or to build a competing database
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or list under another lawyer’s name
• Solicit listed firms for fee-sharing, referral fees, or lead-generation arrangements through the site
• Post content that infringes anyone’s rights, is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, interfere with its operation, or introduce malicious code
• Use the site or its content to train an artificial intelligence model, or to generate a derivative directory, without our written permission

10Terms for consumers

The directory and everything else on our sites is general information, not legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney–client relationship with JusticeXpress or with any listed firm. That relationship begins only when a firm agrees to represent you under its own engagement terms.

Listings are supplied by the firms themselves. We do not verify the accuracy of service descriptions, biographies, or quoted fees, and we do not evaluate the quality of any firm’s work. You choose your own lawyer, contact the firm directly, and contract with that firm alone. Do not send confidential case details to JusticeXpress; messages to us are not privileged.

Limited-scope representation means the lawyer handles a defined task rather than your entire matter. Ask any firm exactly what its fixed fee covers, and what it does not, before you engage them.

11Intellectual property

The site design, text, graphics, compilation of the directory, and software are owned by JusticeXpress or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. “JusticeXpress” and “Law That You Can Afford” are trademarks of JusticeXpress, Inc. You may not use our names, logos, or trademarks without written permission, except that a listed firm may state, accurately, that it is listed in the JusticeXpress Network and may display any badge we supply while its listing is active.

If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to support@justicexpress.com with the information section 512(c)(3) requires.

12Third-party sites and tools

Our Resources hub names third-party products such as practice-management and document-automation platforms, and we link to bar association materials. Those references are informational. We do not control, endorse, or warrant any third-party product, and we are not responsible for anything you obtain from them. We have no affiliate trelationship with a named vendor.

13Suspension and termination

You may stop using the site or ask us to remove your listing at any time. We may suspend or terminate any account or listing, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if your Bar standing changes, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate a paid listing for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the term. Sections 5 (as to the license already granted), 7, 11, and 14 through 19 survive termination.

16Indemnification

If you are a listed firm or applicant, you will indemnify and hold harmless JusticeXpress and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of your listing content, your legal services, your engagements with clients, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any professional rule or law.

17Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [the State of Florida / the State of Delaware — choose one and use it consistently], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Before filing anything, contact us and give us [30] days to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot,any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by American Arbitration Association under its rules, seated in West Palm Beach, Port. St.Luice, or Fort Pierce, Florida, and each party waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class or representative action. Small-claims matters are excluded.]

18Changes

We may modify these terms as the service changes. We will update the “Last updated” date, and for material changes affecting listed firms we will give notice on the site or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the site or maintain a listing after that date means you accept the revised terms. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site, including the directory itself.

19General provisions

• Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the site, and they supersede earlier understandings.
• Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets.
• No third-party beneficiaries. No consumer or client of a listed firm acquires rights against us under these terms.
• Independent parties. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, or fee-sharing relationship between JusticeXpress and any listed firm.
• Electronic communications. You consent to receive notices and agreements electronically.
• Notices. Send legal notices to the address below; we will send notices to the email on your account.
